HSIAO CHIN Solo Exhibition

HSIAO CHIN was born in Shanghai in 1935. His father, Xsiao Youmei, was the founder of modern Chinese music and the founder of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He came to Taiwan in 1949 and graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of the Provincial Taipei Normal School in 1954. In 1956, he founded the first abstract art group in the Chinese-speaking region, the "Eastern Art Society", in Taipei. In the same year, he went to Spain to study. Since 1957, he has held nearly 160 solo exhibitions in Spain, Germany, France, the United States, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Brazil, Taiwan, and China. He has also participated in more than 100 important international and national group exhibitions. His works are collected by more than 40 art museums around the world.
